Golden luminance

Yesterday evening, spent dehors.

Inspired by the photographers Wiebke Leister and Bill Brandt.

Wiebke Leister’s series ‘Hals über Kopf', literally translates as 'Neck over Head', explores the 'gap between emotion and expression', using tickling to provoke laughter and mixed emotions. I love the dramatic lighting as it captures beautiful tones and contours of the body.

Bill Brandt, known for his distorted nudes.

Bulmer Photography Retrospective

Photographs from the John Bulmer retrospective at the Museum and Art Gallery today. Some of the first colour photography in the 1960s: beautiful with an amazing sense of perspective.

From the 'North' Collection.

Something personal and beautiful about hung up washing.

Somehow the camera captures people's honesty and truthfulness.

Smoggy industrial landscapes.

Reminds me of old National Geographics.
